The other day I sat down at the table and stared down at a plate that, based on the presence of crumbs, I can only assume very recently had food on it.  I don’t remember eating, but the plate seemed to argue otherwise.  I suppose I had been so hungry that I scarfed down the entire plate without even being aware of what I was doing.  I was then faced with an empty plate and (what felt like) an empty stomach. As I have become more and more interested in the science and medicine of weight loss I have become more aware of the relationship between us (the consumers) and the food industry.  I have become especially aware of how packaging and marketing so subtly and successfully manipulates our subconscious to buy (and eat) more of what they’re pushing.  I wanted to take this opportunity to make you aware of some of how the food industry is manipulating your subconscious and controlling your decisions.
