I have been searching skinnytaste.com for some great summer recipes that utilized the produce of the season to create something light and cool. You can’t get lighter or cooler than the combination of cucumber and watermelon. It makes for great hand lotions and salads too, enjoy!
I will often poll a room full of dieters by asking them how many of them have been on a diet that failed. Inevitably they all will say yes. I then ask if they lost weight on the diets and they again all say yes. I then ask if they gained the weight back after stopping the diet. You guessed it, an affirmative on that one too. I then point out to them that the diets do work, they just stop working when you stop doing them. The reason people can’t stay on these diets is that they require behavioral changes that are so foreign and extreme that they cannot be maintained for long periods of time. Since we’re heading into the depths of winter, I think it’s important to find for you some recipes to warm you up. I think the slow cooker is the way to keep you warm this winter. You throw a bunch of ingredients into the pot, turn it on, and crawl back in your warm bed for a few hours. That’s my kind of cooking! My wife found this one on www.gimmesomeoven.com. It’s a great high protein recipe that’s easy to put together with only 10 minutes of prep time. Enjoy!
